As a youth, I deeply understand and value the immense potential of the gig economy in driving employment creation in Nigeria and globally. NiYA Gigs represents our collective effort as young Nigerians to take charge of our future, harness opportunities in the global freelance market, and earn locally. Together, we aim to create millions of jobs, break down barriers to growth, and build a thriving economy for ourselves.

  • Find Jobs Globally - With the backing of the Federal Ministry of Youth Development and our partners, youths can earn the trust of clients from anywhere.

  • Get Paid Locally - We are partnering with Bank, Insurance companies, Fintech companies, and other stakeholders to ensure you get paid in Naira or foreign currency.

  • Earn without Limits - Now, you ability to earn will be determined by your energy, your time, your skills. The world is now your marketplace and you have control over your financial future.

Unlock Opportunities, Create Jobs

The gig economy is one of the largest employers of young talents globally, offering short-term, flexible work facilitated by digital platforms. Notably, Nigeria, Kenya, and South Africa contribute 80.6% of Sub-Saharan Africa’s internet traffic to platforms like Upwork and Fiverr (World Bank, 2023).
However, Nigerian youths face challenges such as stiff competition, difficulty receiving payments locally, and limited access to social benefits. NiYA Gigs, a key initiative under the NiYA 10-Point Program, addresses these issues by connecting Nigerian youths to the global gig economy with the support of the Federal Ministry of Youth Development and its partners.
